Krimmer's Italianette Pizza

Sorry it's been 3 weeks since the last post! We actually had Italianette Pizza way back on November 11, but I obviously have been slow to get this post up. We haven't had pizza night the last 2 weeks though due to Thanksgiving last week and Nik being gone the week before at a conference. Alas, we are back for the next few weeks, before Christmas travels cause another brief break.

A few weeks ago, Nik ventured out to Silverton to pick us up a Pepperoni pizza and a Bacon & Pineapple pizza (he wanted a Hawaiian pizza, but I really don't like ham....who can really complain about bacon instead though?).

Here's how they scored:

One of the toppings at Italianette Pizza is "Real Bacon," and as you can see from the picture above, they aren't lying. And the bacon is good too. But, the slices are a little too large - it would be a lot easier to eat if they cut each slice in half one more time. Everyone agreed that the Bacon & Pineapple pizza was the better of the too, with Nik going as far to say "good bacon, but not much else going for it." On top of the Pepperoni pizza not having much flavor, it was really greasy. Kevin thought that the crust was really doughy and deceptively thick. He thought that the crust was soft and chewy, and slightly undercooked in a good way. We both agreed that there was a LOT of cheese on this pizza too (more than the average pizza). I thought that the spots where the cheese was carmelized was especially good.

While we probably wouldn't go out of our way to get Italianette Pizza again due to the distance and Nik's difficulty in finding a parking lot, I'm sure we would stop in for a good (albeit not fantastic) piece of pizza.
